Join us on a study tour to Finland, where you will have the opportunity to visit some of the country’s leading schools and meet with educators to gain insights into what makes the Finnish education system so successful.
During the tour, you will visit schools in Tampere, where you will observe classes, interact with teachers and students, and learn about the Finnish approach to education. You will also attend seminars and workshops led by Finnish education experts, who will share their knowledge and experience with you.
In addition to the educational component, the tour will include cultural activities and sightseeing, giving you a chance to experience Finland’s unique beauty and charm. You will have the opportunity to visit landmarks like the Helsinki Cathedral, Old Town Porvoo and the traditional Market Hall of Helsinki, and to enjoy the traditional Finnish Sauna and nature.

The program includes several visits to Finnish schools and educational institutions covering grades K-9.
It gives visitors an overview of the Finnish education system, Finnish society and culture, and offers an up-close and personal view of daily life in the Finnish classroom.

Helsinki Highlights and Porvoo Tour – 6 Hours
Discover the beautiful Helsinki city and visit nearby Medieval Porvoo town on this guided sightseeing bus tour. First, see Helsinki city’s cultural landmarks and historic monuments, then continue to the medieval town of Porvoo to enjoy its cathedral, Town Hall Square and beautiful cobbled streets lined with local shops.
Sauna Experience by the Lake
Your hosts heat up the traditional Finnish sauna and you can experience something really exotic in a picturesque scene spiced with Finnish traditions.
A sauna by the lake is not only a Finnish dream but also an essential part of the way of living in Finland.
Nature Experience and dinner
Forget the urban nature for an evening and get energized in the Finnish forest. Paths and trails lead you past river banks and meadows. There are endless kilometers of marked trails. Reward yourself with dinner cooked over a campfire.

The tour begins and ends in Helsinki, Finland
Please note this is a brief itinerary and guide only, a more detailed itinerary will be emailed to you closer to departure. Lots of spontaneous group activities transpire along the way like Ice Hockey Finals, Drinks at a Rooftop Bar or Pub or Shopping expeditions to the many nearby shops and markets.
Everything is encouraged but nothing is compulsory!
Day 1 – Saturday 19th April
Hotel Haven check-in. If you arrive earlier they will happily store your luggage so you can explore the city.

Day 2 – Sunday 20th April

10 am – 4 pm Helsinki Highlights and Porvoo Tour
Discover the beautiful Helsinki city and visit nearby Medieval Porvoo town on this guided sightseeing bus tour.
Day 3 – Monday 21st April
Buffet Breakfast at the Hotel
Transfer by private coach to the city of Tampere. Approx. 2.5hrs. We will have a short stop along the way at a Service Center for bathrooms and you may purchase some food for lunch.
Check-in at Lapland Hotels Tampere
Sauna Experience – we will be picked up and taken to a Sauna by the lake. Please pack a small bag with swimmers, soap, thongs/water shoes (optional), a towel from your hotel room, and something warm to wear afterwards!
Day 4 – Tuesday 22nd April

9-3 pm Workshop and school visit -Lunch Included
Free Afternoon and Evening – you may like to check out the Moomin Museum, take a walk down the main street or get a taxi to Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower.
Day 5 – Wednesday 23rd April

4-9 pm Nature Experience and Dinner. Meet in the Hotel Foyer ready for our adventure. Wear sturdy walking shoes and warm clothes – Lots of layers and a warm coat, gloves, beanies and scarf! Better to be too warm than not warm enough!
Day 7 – Friday 25th April

Our final evening! Join your new friends for a drink in the bar or a night out on the town!
Day 8 – Saturday 26th April
