You will learn about the UK education system while making new friends with London and Australian teachers.

This tour is designed for a lot of fun and a little work (just enough to hit the tax-deductible requirements*) Travel with fellow educators knowing they are like-minded and ready for an adventure, just like you! London’s diverse culture and environment play a key role in shaping its education system. We will be immersing ourselves into their culture through pub tours, museum visits and maybe a spot of shopping at Harrods.

Professional Development

Tours for Teachers promotes partnerships between educators and schools. We provide an inclusive study tour designed for K -12 educators.

The London trip offers participants the opportunity to become familiar with the London education system and the factors influencing its success. In addition, the program includes visits to London schools and educational institutions covering grades K-12, providing visitors an overview of the London education system, London society and culture, and offers an up-close and personal view of daily life in the London classroom. You will also create new educational partnerships that enhance teaching and learning, build on teaching practice by learning from each other, and have an opportunity to acquire many new skills, resources and ideas.

Walking Tour

Embark on an unforgettable walking tour of London’s most iconic hot spots, starting with the majestic Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, where precision and pageantry come alive in a historic display of British tradition. Cap off your adventure with a visit to the legendary Tower of London, where centuries of intrigue and history await, from the glittering Crown Jewels to the imposing medieval architecture.

St. Paul’s Cathedral

Prepare to be awe-inspired by the architectural marvel that is St. Paul’s Cathedral. As you enter this magnificent cathedral, you’ll be greeted by the grandeur of its design. Explore the intricately designed interiors, adorned with breathtaking artwork and intricate details.

Tower of London

Experience Brigit’s Afternoon Tea Tour in London, where you can enjoy delicious pastries, scones, and fine teas aboard a vintage bus. As you savour your afternoon tea, marvel at iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and the Tower of London. Soho Music and Historic Pub Tour

Experience hidden pubs, great beer and truly unique photo locations, as we discover Soho’s hilarious, musical and mischievous past and present. Check out where the Beatles recorded Hey Jude, where the Rolling Stones kicked off their career, the location of Jimi Hendrix’s last ever gig and even a pub where The Who got banned for life!

This calm, elegant 4-star London Hilton is set in a historically listed building with stunning views over Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Situated next to Queensway tube station and 3 minutes’ walk from Bayswater tube station.

Please note this is a brief itinerary and guide only, a more detailed itinerary will be emailed to you closer to departure. Lots of spontaneous group activities transpire along the way like Broadway Shows, Pub Dinners or shopping expeditions to Harrods.
Everything is encouraged but nothing is compulsory!

Day 1 – Saturday 5th July

Check-in to Hilton Hyde Park from 3 pm*

7 pm Welcome Dinner at a nearby Traditional English Pub – meet your new friends and get to know each other

*If you arrive earlier the hotel will happily store your luggage so you can explore the city.

Day 2 – Sunday 6th July

Walking Tour covering lots of top sights and Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

Free Day – we will have some optional group activities.
Perhaps a day trip to Windsor and Stonehenge or you may prefer to explore the Museums or Shops of London. The choice will be yours!
