With views stretching out over Lake Victoria, and over the city of Kampala, Latitude 0° sits among indigenous orchid-filled trees atop of Makindye Hill, approximately 6 kms from the CDB, and 45 minutes from Entebbe International Airport.
Jinja Nile Resort – 3 nights
Located in one of the nation’s key tourism spots, Jinja Nile Resort is also deemed one of the top-rated properties in Uganda, with spectacular views over the River Nile.The resort is ideal for all types of guests, from business travellers to tourists. The out-of-town retreat is spread over 30 acres of well-manicured gardens, with lawns, swaying palm trees and tropical plants creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Pakuba Safari Lodge – 3 nights
Pakuba Safari Lodge graces the eastern bank of the Albert Nile, positioned within the stunning confines of Murchison Falls National Park. Tour Leader
Jess has been a teacher for over 15 years, implementing and running the Duke of Edinburgh programme at her former school, Xavier College and leading student expeditions through World Challenge to Nepal, India and Ecuador. She has been an avid traveller since a young age, travelling to over 35 countries, and counting!
If she were to describe herself in 3 words they would be adventurous, friendly and empathetic. She met her partner whilst travelling in Uganda, and lived there for 3 years. She often returns with her family and now runs tours there so other people can experience the magic of the ‘Pearl of Africa’ in a safe, fun and immersive way!
Itinerary

The tour begins and ends in Entebbe, Uganda. Please ensure you are in Entebbe by 4pm on Saturday 27th September.

Late afternoon boat cruise to the Source of the Nile
Visit ‘Jinja Connection’ A local organisation who are trying to get kids off the streets and back in school, and hear more about the work they are doing.
Spend the afternoon at Horizon International School, starting with a school lunch, visit classrooms in the afternoon and meet with teachers for an hour of focused PD, hearing about their experiences in Education with the opportunity to share our own.
In the afternoon we will visit Small Steps School, an organisation supporting students with disabilities. Meet a family who will receive a special donation from our group to enable them to support their family and understand how it will benefit them.
Arrive back at Latitude 0 and enjoy our final dinner together with some special guest teachers both Ugandan and International who are currently teaching in Uganda.
